Forum
[Oil and Gas to Power Africa]
Greatest Forum of Oil and Gas to Power Africa

Once in a year, a group of interesting and impactful people from Africa gathers for the week-long experience — which attendees have described as “the ultimate brain spa” and “a journey into the African future energy.”

Continental Africa has an abundance of proven petroleum or crude oil reserves. They are largely concentrated in the north, and also in Western Africa, although further oil reserves are still being identified in new locations, and in some cases have already been developed commercially. Oil reserves grew particularly quickly since the mid-1990s as improved political situations made exploration more attractive to foreign oil companies.

Africa accounted for over 11 per cent of global oil production over the past decade. As incomes in Africa are still low, oil consumption in most countries is also low. Africa’s oil consumption, therefore, accounts for only 4.2 per cent of global consumption, leaving a large amount of oil to be exported.
